I play StarCraft II. Still. It is fun. But lately it stopped launching out of the box for me.
The error is a bit misleading:
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not find the Qt platform plugin "windows" in ""
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Turns out the fix is:
setfattr -x user.DOSATTRIB ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Battle.net/Battle.net.14017/platforms/qwindows.dll
This is one of those blog posts that I write for myself. I really do not think there is anybody out there playing StarCraft II in 2023 on Linux. But I myself will need this fix next time Battle.Net updates.
